Project monitoring:

Dipl.-Ing. Dr.mont. Thomas Angerer

The current investigations about the recovery of W-containing waste materials, especially hard metal soft scrap, are concerned with the development of a new recycling concept. The process technology studies on the two key process steps – oxidative roasting and ammoniacal leaching of formed tungsten oxide – form the basis for further, detailed investigations of upstream and downstream processes as well as the entire process sequence. The modeling of the individual processing steps, including the software Modde 7®, forms the basis for optimization.
